What an icon/classic line. I remember as a child, (50 years ago), after miles in the car on a family road trip, we stopped at an old hotel for the night. There wasn't much to choose from in those days as far as lodging. Most places , which average middle class people could afford, were pretty sketchy. When we entered the room our dad reserved for us, I made an observation of the place and commented, "what a dump!" Didn't know at the time I was repeating a classic Bette Davis line. Family joke I'll never live down!

Bette must have been referring to my hometown!!

I love the movie version don't get me wrong but after seething this performance and seeing her face... this is one is my favorite.

Television put most of Hollywood out of business many stars lost their contracts with movie companies it's no surprise that they had a brokenhearted Judy Garland! She would be sad for the rest of her life!!

The Garland song must have been very magical that whoever sang it had wondrous spell not only on tens of thousands audience onstage and millions of netizens across the planet who listened, but wowed its judges. KZ won that catapulted her skywards to national prominence, and on to global stage in Singer 2018.
